This song is actually about loneliness and a hopefulness. A strong bonds between of those two, makes a quite beautiful, sad, and contemplate imagination of an observation between "present" which the eyes see at the moment, "the inside" which how we reflecting it inside of our minds & hearts, and "the future" which what we imagined and hope that we can conduct and achieve it in the future; just like the imagination.

A deep analyze of those feelings between those three subjects, create an imaginary person inside of your mind. Like the one you thought you should probably sing this song to her/him. But, still not sure who they are.
